Charlie’s professional rugby journey began in August 2000 with Sale Sharks, where he quickly rose to prominence as the team’s fly-half. His England debut came soon after the start of his professional journey, in November ’01. It was a game-changing moment that launched an enviable international career and secured 38 caps, including a British & Irish Lions tour to New Zealand in 2005.
In 2011, he made a significant move to Saracens, contributing to their victories in the Premiership in 2015 and 2016, and the European Cup in 2016.
